While Canada is a very welcoming and diverse country, the Hindu community still faces social issues that impact it negatively.

Lack of awarenessMost Canadians know little about Hindu philosophy, practice and contributions. Our education library and school displays exist to change that.
Unfair representation in the political systemHindu voices are under-represented where decisions are made. We engage City Hall, school boards and elected officials — see our advocacy in action.
Hate crimesHindu families, students and places of worship experience targeted hostility. Our Suraksha campaign builds safety and resilience with police and public officials.
Lack of equality and human rightsWe advocate for Hindus to be given the same human rights as other minorities — here and abroad.
Inadequate representation of HindusIn classrooms, media and public life, Hindus are often represented inaccurately. We work with TVDSB, educators and media to correct that.
